BIOFIX BIC RECEIVES RECOGNITION FOR GOOD SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES GRANTED BY THE GLOBAL COMPACT
Within the scope of the 13th Congress of the Global Compact – Red Colombia in alliance with the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, BIOFIX BIC received the award for Good Practices in Sustainable Development through the development of the YAAWI IIPANA REDD+ Project, standing out as an innovative and model based on the principles of the Global Compact, as it not only promotes environmental protection, but also encourages the participation of local communities in decision-making in the development of REDD+ projects.
Upon being nominated to receive this recognition, BIOFIX BIC, (partner promoting these communities), highlighted that the project addresses goal 13 of the SDG Climate Action objective, as its objective is to increase and conserve carbon sinks. Concentrations of CO2 are emitted into the atmosphere.
This recognition makes visible the work of the different actors who contribute to Climate Action and motivates us as a company, and encourages the communities that propose the REDD+ Project, to continue working with passion and commitment to conservation and initiatives that improve their conditions. of life.
