Through the development of mitigation projects, we issue carbon credits so that companies and people can offset their CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, either through a voluntary compensation ou the tax.
WE SELL CARBON CREDITS
What is voluntary compensation?
Any company or person can offset tons of carbon emitted by their daily activities into the atmosphere. This can be achieved by purchasing carbon bonds/credits that are issued from forest conservation and projects such as those that BIOFIX develops under the REDD+ methodology.
By purchasing these carbon credits, the companies or people who carry out the compensation are not only being responsible for the planet, but they bring social and environmental development to ethnically differentiated communities that fulfill the role of forest protectors.
What is tax compensation?
With decree-law 926, issued in 2017 in Colombia, and similar legislation in some other countries around the world, taxpayers within the carbon tax have the possibility of resorting to the figure of non-binding of causality through the purchase of emission reduction certificates. The end user or consumer can research reductions or removals of greenhouse gas emissions through conservation projects within or outside their organization.
Projects such as those developed under the REDD+ mechanism are ideal for generating compensation certificates, and companies, through the purchase of these, contribute to the social and environmental development of ethnically differentiated communities that fulfill the role of forest protectors.
